Do you grill out?

In the U.S., Memorial Day weekend is usually a popular time for bbqs and cookouts. Does your family do this, and if so, what do you have?

We do! Usually cook chicken. Sometimes grill corn out. If we are being lazy, we do hot dogs for the kids (or me if we are doing steak). If we are being productive, we do some kebabs.

Have you ever tried that beer can chicken? I usually just do pieces, it's easier. And grilled corn on the cob is so good...

Sausages, burgers, steaks, chopped onion. The basic things. If it's a big occasion you can barbecue a joint. Last Xmas we barbecued the turkey.

We love to grill. Not sure if we will this weekend. It is my dad's birthday weekend, so I think we're going out to a shrimp place tomorrow. We may grill Sunday.

My family has never really been into grilling, so we would pull out our little grill and do it in a perfunctory kind of way on Memorial Day and the 4th of July, and maybe a few other times in the summer for the heck of it. As an adult, I don't own a grill and thus I don't do my own cookouts. I don't have the interest.

Yes! My husband makes the best BBQ chicken legs and thighs. We also grill veggies, steaks, sausages, and seafood like scallops and shrimp. For sides we do baked beans, cole slaw, grilled bread, and potato salad. Dessert is usually a fruit pie or cobbler with ice cream. I love to grill out even though it's an all-day thing and requires a lot of prep work and clean up.

not for holiday purposes but I am the grillmaster. I try to grill at least 2-3 days a month during summer, because it just tastes so fucking good to have meat on a fire. burgers or brats primarily, we can't usually afford steak and I'm too busy to learn how to do fancy shit.

When the weather's not too hot, my dad loves making carne asada, but the weather's been pretty warm here, so we probably won't be having any this weekend.
