It's fairly straightforward, really. You write a new chapter for your epic multi-part epic saga epic, then at the very end (or sometimes very beginning) of the chapter you write something like "I'll only put up the next chapter if I get at least five reviews for this one".

Not exactly the most laudable behaviour there is.

Never read his books, but listened to him speak a few weeks ago at a literature festival, the books sounded good enough, but Garth Nix was sooooooooooooooo boring to listen to. He was arrogant to, comparing himself to Alexander the Great at one point.

If it was meant to be satire, from what I heard it was bad satire. The sort of satire that doesn't manage to surpass the original limitations of the thing it's supposedly lampooning. Clearly you disagree, but I don't want to raise my blood pressure when I barely trust someone like Gail Simone to do something like that without making me upset, much less a writer I barely trust to keep characterization consistent, like Whedon.

I don't see how "fist of an angry God" is any less offensive, even as an atheist. It would be a simile made between someone's desire and an event or being that has a great impact on a large group of people's lives in both cases. So where was the rage when people used God instead?

OMG you just made my day! And yes, more Miles, always more Miles... :D

Since everyone else stated the obvious of "that doesn't mean we can't like it" (For godsakes I ship Mohinder and Sylar in Heroes, for which I need to make the colorbar of "Sylar/Mohinder is so messed up you're probably better off not asking why I like it."), I will hit one of the other things I like about that pairing:

I truly believe if anyone can save Azula from herself, it's Ty Lee. I think Azula is an exceptionally damaged person, to the point of being a borderline sociopath. She still needs anchors even if she abuses them, by evidence of she was able to roll with any punch up until Mai and Ty Lee turned on her. Then and only then did she truly lose it.

Mai has her thing with Zuko, and her resentment for Azula started off pretty early in Season 3, so her betrayal wasn't all that shocking. Ty Lee on the other hand showed no signs of anything but complete loyalty to Azula until she ordered Mai killed. And then I don't think she was "betraying Azula" she was "Saving Mai".

And you know, FUCK "THE BEACH", IT CAN SUCK MY NONEXSISTANT BALLS. Azula practically breaks my gaydar, I can't see her having feelings for ANY man other than a crush on Zhao. And for what little screentime Ty Lee had, as much as she hit on guys... she comes across as a bisexual version of the lipstick lesbian. Or maybe Azula's just the exception.

To me, he's a (stereo)typical hyper teenage fangirl on a sugar high most of the time. Switching his gender would have a minimal impact on both the character's behavior and the story (maybe the media reactions to his relationship with Yuki would be a bit less loud, but even that concerns only one episode).

The thing is, of course, that if Shuuichi was a girl nobody would be interested in the story because then it'd be just another run of the mill romance between a naive but enthusiastic girl and a bastard with issues. (IMO this is why Gravitation is so accessable even for people who normally don't like BL.)

For one moment, during the beginning of act 2, I forgot it was made by Joss and I expected Billie and Penny to end up together but then I remembered at the end and I realized there was no way it could end happily. Eh, Joss and Co don't give us what we want but what we need, an ending like this will stick with us much longer than a happy ending.

187. ME TOO. I mean, he's amazing in How I met your mother but it's really nice to see him in a more consistant role, way more dramatic.

Well, as

illegalism said, Sailor Moon is childish and silly (a lot of the time) but there is nothing wrong with liking it when you’re an adult. I'm an adult and I adore cartoons such as Tiny Toons, Talespin, Goof Troop and Tom and Jerry. I don’t have to pretend that they are serious stories with really deep meanings.

That's Sukisho?! Ahaha, whoops, I didn't even recognize it! It has been a while since I saw it, but...

I agree, it's actually one of my favourite yaoi series too. Partially because it gets the hell on with it (I can't stand a series that drags on for too long [lolz ironic icon alert]) and it's just really sweet. The gender of some of the characters never bothered me, though I did pretty much consider Nanami to be a girl throughout. That was clearly the image that Nanami himself wanted to portray.

lol, facts, actually. It's why Jerry Robinson, the co-creator of the original Joker, was drafted in as a consultant on TDK. Heath's Joker was based on the Joker's first few appearances in the comics.
