I completely agree with everything you said! Their affection for each other is palpable. (And yes! MOAR RPS!)

141 - this one actually made me laugh out loud. Oh and the real Rasputin scares me a little, too.

Japan does the same thing though- using popularity over training and talent... Howl for example was a pop star from SMAP, and the star pokemon in the next Pokemon movie is going to be Crystal Kay...
Also Horikita Maki has become a popular actress amoung kids and has started voice acting this year- for Doraemon's movie and a few video games....

BTW, to feed my own curiosity, which roles/celebrities are you refering to? Patrick Stewart in Nausicca was better than the Japanese IMHO.... then again I watched it on repeat like six times for a project....

I think a lot of it was once again based on a surge of pity, because they made him so tragic and sympathetic in this movie. Plus the burns were uberrealistic, and considering I took a premed class where we had to spend a whole week talking about that kind of thing, all I could think of was "Oh, you poor thing!"

You know what, all these moronic anonymous responses I'm getting just prove to me that you're all far too removed from reality to understand. Yeah, I'm overreacting. I'm not allowed to feel the way I feel. I'm being overly sensitive. Give me a fucking break.

Oh, I agree. I was mostly joking, it was just the first thing that popped into my head (because, y'know, occasionally Milo and Adrian make it really easy to think it). I think Adrian definitely has a lot of love to give, he's pretty much adorable with anyone he stands close to. :D

And I haven't got a problem with Milo/Hayden, just to make that clear. I don't think there's actually anything that creepy with him waiting for her to turn eighteen (but then, the age of consent is sixteen here). They're both really lucky, and I'm just jealous (Hayden being my ultimate girl!crush and all).

The first couple of books are really good. It's the third that sucks. (105 OP)

Word. As much as I DO hate the 'she's dead; haha kidding!' trick - frankly, there is NOTHING that the writers could do to make this show any worse than what they did in the series finale. If they DID do that, sure, it would be dumb and full of WTF-ary, but this ENTIRE fiasco has been dumb and full of WTF-ary. At least it would have the actually positive result of Marian being around again and the show being less depressing.

Oh man, Discworld is another series that is totally awesome. I still need to read them all, but from what I have read, I love it. It's good to hear that I'm not alone. :)

(I think my disappointment with the last 3 or so is because of a change in writing style. Maybe? I'm not sure. I didn't like the Order of the Phoenix book, but I liked the movie. I think it's cause of a lot of the house elf stuff and the like was cut out. Hermione annoyed me to no end with that. I think that's my own weirdness, though.)
