OH MY GOODNESS I love Nick. I couldn't say exactly why, but I am such a fan...I dunno, Lirael reminds me of myself a little so maybe I like him more because of the pairing? But anyway, awesome that this one secret started such a long chain of Old Kingdom discussion...we need a community! Or just more good fic and a few amazing movies.

Oh, I think he's really easy to relate to (in a different way than Lirael's easy to relate to) because he reacts like I think a normal person would to all these fanciful tales of magic. I ship Nick/Lirael hardcore too, so that might be affecting me here. I'm definitely trying to write more for the fandom, so. Maybe I will make a community.

Fucking SIGNED. Seriously, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s reaction to this pairing is “DO NOT WANT”. Not to mention the fact that most of the people who ship it are the squeeing fangirls (yes, fanGIRLS) who seemingly only watch the show because Azula’s “OMFG HAWT LOL HAIRBRUSH YAY”. Come on, you guys- she’s the evil sociopathic villain- you’re not supposed to like her. And she’s only been in the show for what, eight episodes? And Ty Lee’s been seen even less than that (and trust me, it’s NOT because they’re too busy having off-screen sex). Sometimes (especially considering some of the places I hang out/lurk at here on LJ) it seems like I’m the only one who was immensely relieved when TBR and the betrayal scene made Ty Lee’s Azula-hate canon. I was hoping it would encourage the Army of Tyzula to calm the fuck down with their “LOL MEANT 2 B” and “TYZULA FTW YAY (LOL HAIR-DOWN AZULA)” whenever the two happened to appear in the same scene together (and for the record, Azula’s straight- that is just pesky canon getting in the way of your lesbian lovin’, though, so I can understand why so many of you ignore it). Seriously guys, it’s getting old; time to STFU already.
Ugh, sorry for the tl;dr, but I just absolutely loathe this pairing, and most of the people who ship it like it’s SRZ BZNZ. It’s just fucking creepy.
(… And if I weren't so late with this, they would come in droves and absolutely crucify me, I guarentee it.)

i only use linux systems so there is a limit to the games i am able to play - but i'll see if i can play it! thanks for the recommendation. i'm reading the wikipedia page and it really does sound interesting!

It took me at least two-three playthroughs before I had visited all the planets, but man, I loved it. I might be the only one, but I actually liked a lot of the planets you visited.

lol, i might just as well buy one - i've just checked and the PC version of mass effect doesn't work on linux. the more i read about the game, the more i want to buy a 360, hah. mass effect's gameplay looks pretty similar to (star wars) "knights of the old republic", which i basically loved. damn, f!s, now i'm going to have to spend 500$ on consoles and videogames! i'm so going to ask technophile for a refund.

that's cause it's made by the same people who make kotor! kotor is basically my favorite video game ever, but mass effect comes really damn close. it's like a new and improved version, i would say. minus all the star wars shit.

Hoo boy, the Mako. I started up two new Shepards this week, after not having played much since Dec/Jan, and I have completely forgotten all my awesome driving skills. I keep driving off the skyways, ramming myself straight into the death trap of thresher maws, and getting caught in inescapable vallies. I almost snapped the controller in half this morning over it, hee. ^^;

Oh, I do the same! I just have to hear some of Jolee's comments, otherwise the game loses all magic it has to me. How can anyone hate on a man that did it all for the Wookies?

GODDAMN MAKO AKJSNFNJKASKJFJAJKN my life would be so much easier if it just did not exist. combat is hard for me in the mako too, i try to avoid it as much as possible. i only really use the cannon for the geth colossus. i was finishing up a shepard today and on ilos i kept driving all crazy in the archives and my mom found it hilarious. man, i hate the mako.

i almost always just have jolee and hk in my party, because they're so hilarious, especially together. i haven't played kotor in ages, but i just bought it for 360 and i'm having trouble getting used to it, since i've always played it on pc.

I would love to just do all Mako missions on foot, honestly. I'm thinking of trying that with Noveria, if I can get my hands on some Devlon armor to negate the environmental meter. Also, my step-father watched while I did the Ilos trench run over Christmas, and he asked me why I kept flipping over the Mako. "It does that to prove how much it hates me," I replied.

Ahhh yes, Jolee & HK & Revan, the trio that will save the Star Wars galaxy. Whenever I do a playthrough with those two as my companions, I end up being a rather bipolar Jedi. I want to make both of them happy, really.

Welcome to game rambling club, I've been a member since I bought my Xbox 360 back in November. >_>; I think I do little else than ramble about games, it's beginning to annoy my poor friends.

umm, i didn't know about the next ff being released on the 360 as well! isn't that good news!! (even though i'd still mourn metal gear solid 4)
in fact the only reason why i haven't bought a ps3 yet is because i started to hate sony the moment i saw its price. un-fucking-believable. so i decided i wouldn't buy it for a matter of principle.
i bought the wii when it came out because i was young and stupid and thought "HOMG WIRELESS THAT'S SO COOL", and it's been a few fun weeks with wii sports and zelda, but after that, ugh. it became quite boring. so i'm thinking of selling it too - it looks like there are no good games coming on wii any soon.

the only thing i don't like about the 360 is that you have to pay to go online and play multiplayer! (you do, right? my brother has it, but i've played it once or twice)
so convince me: tell me a feature or two the 360 has and the ps3 has not :P (apart from the fact that i'd have to sell a kidney to buy the ps3)

yeah, mgs4 being an exclusive is a disappointment, but it is so not worth it to buy a ps3. not only are they, as you said, ridiculously overpriced, there are still a lot of glitches and bugs and what have you. it's a really overrated gaming system, like the wii. both their graphics suck, man.

unfortunately, you do, but it's not that expensive or even necessary. i don't do multiplayer just because it annoys the crap out of me.

the 360 has better games (plus a bigger selection to choose from) and the frame rate/graphics/pretty much everything are a big improvement on the ps3. if you're seriously thinking of getting a new console, go with 360. the ps3 is essentially an overpriced piece of crap. just sayin!
