The thing is, my ex-boyfriend largely turned off the Erik-crushing when he decided to act like him to "thrill" me. It got old, and then it got downright scary when he started stalking me. I'm now with a great-looking guy who's an absolute sweetheart on top of it all, so I was pretty unprepared to find myself wanting to mack on yet another disfigured guy with serious mental issues.

Well, I meant that the disfigured aspect wouldn't tend to put a Phantom fan off someone, heh.

I still haven't yet seen TDK... too damn broke to get to a movie theatre. But I really, really want to.

I think a lot of it was once again based on a surge of pity, because they made him so tragic and sympathetic in this movie. Plus the burns were uberrealistic, and considering I took a premed class where we had to spend a whole week talking about that kind of thing, all I could think of was "Oh, you poor thing!"
