It took me years to get over my first RP, and I still miss those days sometimes. I think you're in good company here, OP. Things take as long as they take... last as long as they last... something else will come along for you when the time is right :)

I know how you feel. It wasn't my first MMORPG, but I feel this way about Rift. I had such a wonderful time during its first few months! It was thrilling, and heart-swelling, and I made some genuine connections with my guild-mates. Nothing before or since has come close.

I figure it's something to look back on fondly, and to be glad I had the chance to experience. Maybe you can flip it that way when you feel melancholy?
