DA but I have a friend who now does border patrol in my country because his unit was called up to do it. The majority of his work involves locating people who have tried to cross with inadequate supplies and he has been the person to locate deceased children and families. If anything he feels more strongly about making the process of legal immigration easier and safer since starting that job. He didn't write the laws he has to enforce.

He sounds great. And I think there are good people in both agencies. I just think they tend to attract not so good people and that there are major flaws in the system themselves. Not any one indvidual's fault, and I'm fine with individuals in the job who actually do their job (all parts of it, including the sharing information with attorneys who have sent you the proper documentation part) and treat immigrants like human beings.

I just get frustrated because I have to deal with the worst of them in my job. And it is people's lives that are being impacted. And trying to avoid talking to attorneys so you can trick the immigrants into going forward with their cases unrepresented is just not okay. And it happens all too often.
