Well, yes. It doesn't condescend to its audience by spelling everything out, and it treats all the bizarre supernatural goings-on as if they're actually bizarre, instead of giving the characters cutesy, deadpan quips to react with. It's refreshing.

That's fine, but what OP is advocating is cutting out that style and what makes the show unique so it doesn't get cancelled, which is baffling to me.

Er... no, they didn't say that at all? The OP of the secret clearly didn't care for the style and said they believed it would get the show cancelled. The secret doesn't say a single word about "cutting out that style" so it won't get cancelled. Maybe you've got this confused with another discussion elsewhere?
