Plenty of that out there, including some nice silkpunk if you're into that.

Admittedly, a lot of silkpunk is SF (Liu, Lee). JY Yang's Tensorate is my best read from last year.

In African-influenced fantasy, Okorafor has a YA fantasy series with the Akata Witch series. Lord had Redemption in Indigo. Zoo City was an interesting urban fantasy from a few years back.

If you follow the World Fantasy Award shortlists or periodicals like Lightspeed there's plenty of non-historical fantasy getting published.
