I don't want kids and have no interest in pets beyond the turtle I've already got, but there is something incredibly attractive about men who are good with kids and animals.

Agreed. I have zero interest in kids but a guy who is great with kids is a huge turn-on to me.

Good with kids/animals means they're caring and kind, I think. Same reason it's attractive when someone is very nice and polite to the waiter at a restaurant, or they help a neighbour carry something.

I like really hate the reaction in a way because wow, a man parenting, so above and beyond what should be expected, right. But I get it. It's hot.

I guess, if that's part of the reaction. I think it's entirely possible to find it attractive without finding it shocking or whatever?

I am talking about my own weird warm fuzzies, to be clear. Cause personally I like women too but never have this reaction to them interacting with children.

(Anonymous) 2018-06-03 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww, that's a sweet picture.

(Anonymous) 2018-06-03 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a very cute picture.

Nothing against the women who find it attractive since that is how we are programed to find good potential fathers but I hate that society is impressed by something a women does all the time if a guy does it. I blame the men who think they deserve a parade for taking care of their own children.

Speak for yourself on the programmed part since I'm not, and lots of misogynists tend to want biotruths to be a real thing. :( Other than that, I do agree with the rest of the post, but hopefully things are changing for the better.
