if you like jack black, try the jumanji remake, he really steals the show

+1 He was really great in that.

If people really respected comedy as hard to do those kinds of performances would get nominations. He was really good.

He was fantastic in that!

You need to see Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny. It's totally crude but it always makes me laugh.

I'd never seen him anything until Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle but I LOVED him in that. He did such a great job. The whole movie was great, but he was definitely a standout.

To add to the other recs, have you played Brutal Legend? He voices the main character and it's honestly just a really fun game overall, imo.

Dude you NEED to watch Nacho Libre like right now. It's the best jack black film imo.

adding to the Jack Black rec list: The D Train

He was good in King Kong (2005) too. It was a good remake. (Although I'd LOVE a genderswitched version.)

I also loved him in High Fidelity (2000) -- he stole every scene he was in.

something about him always reminded me of a childhood bully

First thing I ever remembered him in was the X-Files episode D.P.O. Look at baby!Jack.

man, same. i can barely think of anything else he's been in off the top of my head, and yet he's always been... THERE. a true cryptid.

Recommending The Holiday for he and Kate Winslet being adorable. I like his hyperactive rocker vibe, but it was very surprising and charming to see him being all sweet and low-key in a gooey chick flick.

Agreed. That was the film where I came to liking him.

(Anonymous) 2018-06-04 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Man, 2D's ass was great in that video.

He's really sweet in The Big Year. I love that movie.
