Honestly they sound kinda sweet.

As other anon wrote, do you have reason to think your boyfriend has lied in the past? Or will in the future? Because, well, I wouldn't personally feel comfortable breaking the friendship of someone I cared for without them doing bad shit, like stealing or being rude to service workers. Holding hands seems really minor to me?

What is it that bothers you about it?

I guess it just bothers me because as far as I'm concerned, holding hands is something you only do with someone you're in a relationship and it's not appropriate to do it with someone else. Apparently that's unusual, though, at least among people here. Idk, I probably need to talk to him some more.
