Don't you see a difference in scale, though? If he had responded back, "That's rude, and it's not like you have a good body" or something along those lines, I would have thought it was equal and thought nothing more about it. And no, wouldn't have had any sympathy for her. But escalating it like he did instead of dealing with it privately takes it to a whole other level, imo. I agree that her original remarks were uncalled for and rude, but I think less of him for his response to it.

Huh, it's almost like they're both at fault and both deserve to share the blame in this. I agree with the suggestion that she is not an innocent victim and so I find OTT defense of her questionable and definitely reflecting double standards and hypocrisy. However, I disagree with the OP that he didn't do anything wrong.
