127. It's because he's Robert Downey Jr, that's why. But more seriously, the character himself is self-centered, so the fact that he doesn't understand exactly what his weapons do until he sees what they do to him is understandable. Not forgivable, but understandable.

Besides, this whole time he thought his weapons were being used by his own people against the "bad guys". Not by the bad guys against his own people.

130. Read From Erioca, With Love if you haven't. It's like a comedy yaoi manga without the buttsex, and it's the greatest thing ever.

151. That's understandable. I feel a bit the same way. I mean, honestly, you hear so much about it that you really build up a lot of expectations, you know? Not only that, but if you're Americans the general mindset towards sex is kinda... meh. I swear, Americans on a whole act like 12-year-olds when it comes to the topic of sex.

I am not in the Ironman movie fandom at all, so I speak for no one but myself. The reason I LOVED the movie was because besides being well written, and how it captured the feel of the comic, it's a story about REDEMPTION, not SYMPATHY. If he can turn it around, who can't?

I gotta agree with you about RDJ. He brought something special to the roll. People drool over the Joker and no one blinks, you fall for a all too human character and YOU'RE the crazy one?

I've never even read the comic, so I just speak purely from the movie. XDD But what I really liked about Iron Man was the fact that, even when he was trying to do something for others, it was still for a selfish reason. It's not often that you see a self-centered man put in such a positive light, and I really liked that.

Even Batman does what he does out of non-altruistic motives. Revenge is personal. The huge difference is while the weapons are his (Tony's) father's legacy, the wrongs he needs to atone for, the things about himself he doesn't like, those are self-inflicted. Unlike Batman who has two martyr saints to look up to. I can identify with Tony, but not Batman.

Edit: I can't stop looking at our icons together. I wish VDO and RDJ had done a film together back in the day. I'd die of drooling.

Off topic, but why is it that EVERY person from a different country I talk to (even my freaking boyfriend) have to say something about how "Americans are so _______." BUT, god FORBID we horrible American scumbags say something about another country. If I said something like similar to what you said about YOUR homeland I'd be called a racist, bigot, ect.

Really now, you should look at the faults of YOUR OWN country before you criticize another. Hypocritical much?

Lol, this is what I get when I don't look at people's profiles. Ah well, I fail. Sorry for the rant, and yay LA! I only live a few hours away from there :D

But my opinion still stands anyhow. We Americans aren't the best people in the world, but neither are people in other countries. All in all people suck.
