One, Yoite is not a Mary Sue, there's nothing perfect about him, not even his power, and only Miharu and Yukimi actually bothered to know him beyond the "cold stone killer" facade or a weirdo that nearly everyone else think of him as. Seriously folks, stop saying every character you hate is a Mary Sue when they're not. Also without him, Miharu wouldn't known how precious connecting with another person can be. Yoite is not even my fave NabaOu character either. Sheesh.

130. I read for the plot, smut and the lulz. Seriously, I once had a list of which BL manga-ka goes in which category. I seriously in love with Tsuta Suzuki and Yugi Yamada at the moment because they don't forget how to develop character and have a good plot on top of that. And it's hard to mistake their guys as girls.

I don't care if you hate Yoite with a passion, just don't call him a Mary Sue because he is the farthest thing from that. And he is an important part of the plot/character development.

He may not be a Sue but he's certainly Author's Little Darling. Besides, I always thought that his relationship with Miharu was way too forced in the beginning (okay, mostly on Miharu's part) and it's been basically a long, wangsty hurt-comfort fantasy ever since.

I don't know if it's that based on the anime or whatnot, but I don't think it was forced at all. Yoite did pique Miharu's interest back in the raid at Fuuma Village, so it was a build up of foundation of their relationship.

The hurt/comfort thing is most likely critical to Miharu's outcome of this series. His relationship with Yoite has changed him from the guarded, don't-give-a-shit-about-anything-really boy to learn how to empathize with others.

Meh, Yoite doesn't really bother me none. I agree that there should be more focus on the others.

I can understand why Yoite approached Miharu, what I don't get is Miharu's sudden deep interest in Yoite. That's the part I feel forced. Sure, there was some half-assed explanation along the way, but it wasn't very convincing for me. Actually, I would've had less trouble accepting it if they went ahead and said that he fell in love with him at first sight.

About the relationship, yeah, it's all that you said, but this doesn't make it any less wangsty and therefore annoying. I like a bit of H/C myself, but not like this, with the characters wallowing in angst while the reader is obviously expected to bawl her eyes out. Not to mention that IMHO Yoite's angst is overdone to the point where it's simply ridiculous, I wouldn't be surprised if in the next chapter they revealed a dead puppy/kitten/goldfish in his past. The author really needs to learn that piling up angst =/= more real tragedy.

Okay, Author's Little Darling. Yeah. That's a better way to put it. Still, excessively dull, dramatic!!1, and tragic to be hogging the spotlight this much.
