I know I've seen this said with this exact wording before. Frequently. Not just recently in GC but like. Repeatedly for the last two years.

Face it, though, thanks to microblogging and the scattering of fandom nobody is reviving lengthy meta posts and back-and-forth discussions like it was in the old days. Every time someone says "I wish it were like this again" the answer is "so use a forum or DW or some similar blog where you can have conversations instead of reblogs" and yet no one ever does.

I miss it too but then again my only fandom is a cesspit of idiots who can't even understand what they're reading before they go off on their theories about future canon based off actual art mistakes or translation errors. I don't think I want to meta with them.
