Work, like usual. But *after* work? I watched The Towering Inferno! The one from '74. And you know what? It's pretty damn diverse. A lot of tv shows now woudln't have so many black or hispanic people in the cast (they'd maybe have one for that affirmative action look).

And the minority people that *are* in the cast? Are not stereotypes or caricatures. And the women? Are not hysterical or stupid, they're tough and brave. Also? Even though she's only in the first part, there's a deaf woman with two kids and she uses sign with her kids and nobody is freaked or thinks she's a bad mom.

It's just...really refreshing, in a weird way, and somehow just better than a lot of more modern stuff. (Plus, holy gods, it is *so very 70's! The orange and harvest gold! The hair! The big-pocketed jackets on the men!! I luff.)

Another good film from that era is Sheba, Baby starring Pam Grier. Very feminist message for it's day, with a black woman as the action heroine of the story.
