For the same reason that anyone wants to own non-domesticated animals that aren't suited for cohabitation with humans. They're pretty accessories.

Ugh yeah. There's a reason that cats and dogs are the most popular pets. They make good pets. Why people want wild animals is pure vanity, often at the expense of the wild animal's well-being.
