108. I honestly believe Gai and Rock Lee are the best damn things about Naruto. Seriously, they actually have personalities that aren't annoying (at least to me). They are optimistic, kind, and make me want to be a better person. I'd be friends with them instead of Sasuke or Naruto ANY day. <3

121. Oh hell yes. ;) Personally, I like the canon Kataang, but srsly, it gets so damn annoying with the shippers fighting. The only logical conclusion is Zuko/Aang, rite? Of course. I mean, he was chasing after him the whole series. If any two people had such a draw to each other and were paralleled so much, it was those two. ;)

122. She was annoying. But I'd love for her character to grow a bit and...you know, totally suck his life out. :D btw, misogyny? explain? *loves Heroes but is not in the fandom*

133. I agree about the fanbrats, but don't let their annoying behavior ruin your perception of his performance, because honestly, it really was THAT good. And also...people bashing Maggie? Wtf, WHY? Sometimes I just don't understand fandom. D:

135. Uhh. I completely disagree. I think it was a great way to end the series. Everything being resolved (except the Ursa thing), and Aang finding happiness at last. It didn't feel awkward because it was so painfully obvious throughout the entire series that the attraction was there. And how would it have been better if they kissed, hugged, and then it panned up? Why would that have any other impact? It'd be the same, in my mind...
Whatever.

151. Oh god me too. IAWTS. Yeah, I was like, "My favorite series ended..." and that made me sad too, but really, it was just so beautiful. The music, the epicness, the warm feeling. The knowledge that Aang finally found happiness and prevailed in a way that didn't betray his morals. I loved it. Though I have to admit...I cried on the ending, sure, but I cried even harder when Zuko and Iroh reunited. (superb voice acting, ftw)

170. I'm 18, and I feel like I'm too old for fandom too. Especially since my most beloved fandoms are fit for a younger audience than me (Pokemon? Avatar? Yu-gi-oh?!). You are not alone.

180. You are not alone...I have a friend that I don't talk to or see as much as I used to because she's too busy playing Lunia with some other friend. I hate it. I hate the game because I want my best friend back. She's never there when I need her to be. She doesn't even want to come over unless she can spend ample time on my comp, and I know she's just dreading to be away from the Lunia world for a while. I hate it. ): *ashamed*

122. There's this thing in Heroes fandom where, if you don't like a female character and you say so, very often you're labeled a misogynist. It doesn't matter if you have story-related reasons for not liking the character in question; someone will always decide that it boils down to either your subconscious, patriarchy-programmed hatred of your own vagina or (if you're a guy) your unwillingness to let women get out of the kitchen. Heck, if you like a female character and you say it's because she kicks ass, you're likely to end up labeled because you obviously aren't paying attention to all the sneaky little ways in which she's being put down by The Man. Something similar happens with liking/disliking characters of color. Basically, if you don't like someone it must be because you hate their entire demographic, and if you do like them it's because you're "fetishizing" their "otherness" so that you don't see how they're really a poorly-researched stereotype.

Personally, I think that kind of thinking is a bunch of bull.

170. I'm 30, and my in-laws are 50-something and still active in many fandoms. So I think "too old for fandom" is a similar bunch of bull. Don't sweat it; you'll find other fandoms as you go along. It's what fans do. :)

122. That's...really retarded. I really think she's just a weak character. I would like her more if she wasn't COMPLETELY HELPLESS. I'd like her to stand up for herself for once and not cry for help, or just cry all the time, period. She's really an annoying character.

Maybe it's a good thing I'm not in the Heroes fandom, because I would get mad at that type of thinking as well (I'm female btw :| eh.)

170. Thanks. =] It's not that I don't love being a part of it -- I really do. It's where I belong and where I feel I can be myself, actually. But people in my life seem to think it's childish and I should grow up because I'm legally an adult now. Which, I get kind of defensive at (I love all the dynamics of the Avatarverse, and the show has taught me so much, I just...I just...ajfoaifjsdf), but at the same time it's discouraging because I have no one in real life to talk to fandom about. (Well, except one friend, but I never see her and we're not in the same fandoms...so.)
