The discussion is about taking issue with Freeman being in this specific film.

The specific person who said that - which is just one person - said that it was bad specifically because it was a film about black people, not because Freeman was uniquely bad or past some moral event horizon

so at best, you're basing this on misreading the initial point

A white guy ranting about how it's "unfair" that he's not allowed to use the n-word is bad in general, not just when he's an actor in a film about black people.
