I don't want to read ANY sex scenes between a 70-ish year old man and a 23-ish year old woman. I read the first of these novels and hated it for many reasons, but the central relationship was the main problem.

It doesn't help, but he [i]is[/i] in his 50s and early 60s through the books.

LK has gone on at great length trying to argue that Holmes is much younger than it says in canon (he's 60 in LAST), solely for the purpose of shipping him with MR.

IMO the romance aspect is not well written and the age gap is too big. But yeah, Holmes isn't 70, I don't think. The author handwaves the timeline by saying that Watson's accounts portrayed them as being older than they actually were, so Holmes is more like in his 50s? I know, still weird considering Mary is a kid when they first meet.
