I do love a few of his movies, which I saw long before I knew that about him. (Yes, I’m so old the Net wasn’t around yet when I saw them, and I don’t live in the US). But no matter how much I love them- he still raped a child, and there is no excuse for that.

Anybody who says they don't care, it wasn't that bad or it was so long ago or it wasn't really rape (wtf?), just no.

I remember watching one of his movies and thinking it was the best experience I'd seen. Then when I went to go look up the director that's when I delved into a very sobering, horror story where no matter what sort of art a person creates they can always be an evil person.
