My youngest sister is the same way, as is my brother and I know for a fact it doesn't mean a thing about how empathetic they are. People are just different in how they express things.

I'm just not a big crier at movies or TV. I can be very moved by something, I just watched Loving Vincent and was very moved by that, I just don't cry much. My mom is the exact opposite. she cries at Pepsi commercials and Laverne and Shirley. no exaggeration.

I'm probably like your mom then. I cry at anything that even tries to stroke your emotions. There was a time when I was on the way to work during christmas-time and some tearjerker Christmas song made me sniffle a bunch. My mom was so confused.
