I can't decide if I miss 2006 fandom because it was so much more shamelessly fun, or if it is because I was a teen then and fandom is usually more fun when you're a teen/young 20 something (because you have a higher threshold for stupidity and can spend more energy being silly and obsessive about fantasy stuff without the suffocating weight of reality shaming you into mediocrity).
