I think you're safe, OP. I can't remember if I was around in that specific time period or if I came in a few years later, but I did a binge-read of the whole comm because I was interested in the meta on HP, and I don't recall anything like what you're describing. It was the complete opposite, commenting on the themes of abuse and sexism in the books! I still check in from time to time because it's the only place I can reliably find meta these days (I'm too old for tumblr, lol, I can't be bothered figuring out how that works and finding accounts to follow)
