But Belle wasn't that awful. Like, she didn't think she was better than everyone, she reacted to their backwoods views on her. They thought she was a deviant for READING and how dare she do anything but be a good little housewife who does her laundry, makes her husband's food and pops out babies. There's a reason that there's an entire scene where she's gently trying to teach a girl how to read, and they're both EXCITED. And the town's reaction is... To dump her laundry on the ground and humiliate Belle.

Also Maurice is clearly an inventor, too, Jesus CHRIST. Do you think that those music boxes are made easily? No. No, they're not. Quit fucking projecting, you come across as a goddamn outdated screen projector and nobody needs those anymore.
