speaking as the person who made the Stargate SG-1 secrets from last week, might I suggest you check that show out. The primary villains are unbelievably, delightfully dramatic for no reason just like all of the time and are also thoroughly unrepentant about their evilness.

This is why Doctor Doom is the best

I mean, it's one of many reasons

Same here.

Don't get me wrong I also really love the more nuanced type of villain where you can see how they could have been different if life had given them a better hand... but I also highly enjoy the dramatic pieces of shit who fuck things up just for the drama of it all and that's that.

It's why comic Loki and Doom can be so much fun.

And +1 to the nonnie's suggestion of SG1 because nearly all of their villains are so wonderfully dramatic and petty for no good reason and it's endlessly entertaining, if you're into sci-if silliness that is. :)

I am completely over conflicted, nuanced villains. I want force-of-nature, pure, cackling evil. They're the most enjoyable, and the storylines around them end up being better for being simple.

Obligatory plug for the TV show Hannibal. Hannibal is arguably pure evil. While he does have a--(I'm sure as hell not going to say "softer side")--human side, he is *not* conflicted about what he does. He enjoys every second of butchering people horribly and manipulating everyone. And if he likes you? He's going to treat you even worse (or in his opinion, better).

I feel you, OP.

(I have room for both, TBH. I love a good villain.)

Poor Celebrimbor! Yes, Sauron using the corpse of his former friend and colleague as a banner for his armies is the kind of overdramatic and unnecessary evil gesture that I really appreciate.
