NS: I haven't watched his show, but I read Kitchen Confidential just a few months ago and I was absolutely taken with it. Anthony Bourdain's death is the first celebrity suicide that actually upset me.

S: I've been reading up on his background and concocting an ever more elaborate headcanon about his life that I'm convinced I'm mostly right about.

I mean, it's all pretty plausible, not outlandish. It could be true. Or true-ish.

No need. They already made a TV series back in 2005 based on his book with the same name (starring Bradley Cooper). It only went one for one season but judging by the outlandish stuff that was on the show, it seems to be the elaborate "headcanon version" of Bourdain's life that you're trying to concoct.
