What's your favorite food to order in a restaurant, FS?

Do you have a favorite food you'll always order in a restaurant? For example, whenever you get Chinese food, no matter what Chinese restaurant you're in, you always order beef and broccoli.

Braums Quarter Pounder Cheeseburger with mayo, ketchup, mustard, and onions with a large fry. It is my cheat meal.

That's funny, because beef and broccoli is such a conservatively non-Asian order at a Chinese restaurant.

Me, if I'm at an Indian or Pakistani restaurant and they have goat, I'll likely order the goat. Ditto Jamaican restaurant if they have goat curry.

Chinese: chicken and broccoli (or shrimp and broccoli if they have it). I know it's not traditional. But I grew up eating a lot of stir fry and rice and it reminds me of that.
Thai: Pad Thai
Vietnamese: Pho Ga
Japanese: tuna or octopus sashimi
Philipino: Adobo
Mexican or Tex-Mex: enchiladas verdes

I don't but my sister always wants chile rellenos if we're having Mexican food and mu shu pork if we're having Chinese.

Milkshakes. Grilled octopus at tapas places, always gotta get the grilled octopus. Italian sandwiches, especially if they have good bread.

And then, just in general, across the board - pizza.

Salmon's my usual go-to, especially in restaurants with a lot of meat dishes (since I don't eat red meat and I'm too picky about chicken to ever order it).

And salmon is the thing I'm super picky about. I like it, but only when it is cooked right. it is so easy to do it badly and make it really bland.

Chicken flautas at tex mex places, though enchiladas are a close second.

Yellow curry at Thai places.

Burgers/cheeseburgers at sports bars. Mimosas at breakfast/brunch places. Spicy tuna roll, kappa maki, tuna sahimi, and gyoza at sushi places.

I have yet to meet a Reuben I didn't like.

Oh man, I had the saddest reuben at a place which claimed to be a deli but was not, as later evidenced. Grocery store rye bread, basic corned beef and they MICROWAVED IT. It came out limp and slightly soggy and it was awful. I never darkened that deli's doorstep again.

Mediterranean/Middle Eastern joint: baba ghannouj, cucumber salad, or grape leaves
Japanese: either sashimi (mackerel and/or salmon) or steamed shumai
Chinese: mixed vegetables, hot and sour soup
Mexican: fresh guacamole
Italian: angelhair pasta, minestrone
Seafood: Alaskan salmon or scallops
American: Baked chicken or medium-rare steak
Pizza: New York style, pepperoni. Otherwise, veggie

I always order salmon nigiri at sushi bars. And eel. I only order tuna and yellowtail if I know the sushi bar is legit or I have a good feeling about it, because so many places serve bland and/or fishy tasting tuna and yellowtail.
