Agreed. I mean, I've only heard like three of her songs, but she has a very good voice to me. However, not liking her is not a crime and you don't have to like every artist to be a pop genre fan...

Because you need to like a certain pop artist to be a fan of the genre?

I don't think anything works like that. You don't have to like everything in a category to be a fan. I'd actually be very surprised if you could find any person who truly likes every artist in any particular musical genre, if it wasn't a severely limited one.

You're right, of course, but I also totally get why OP would feel that way. Because the fandom for CRJ within pop fandom is just incredibly intense and over-the-top and, like, worshipful. And I say that as someone who likes CRJ a lot.

Emotion is still one of the best neo 80's pop albums out there. Holy shit that album is amazing. Her other stuff is just okay to me

late, but that's the only album of hers I've listened to and dfine more thgan tolerated--- I enjoyed it.
