What fic trends/tropes/plots in your fandoms do you hate?

Melkor/Sauron noncon. Just completely antithetical to how I view the pairing as well as both characters. I can see them raping other people easily. But each other, no? And Mairon's number one trait in my mind is arrogance. He'd never stick around if things weren't good for him. His loyalty and love for Melkor is based on Melkor sharing power with him and based on the fact that he's got it really good in Utumno/Angband.

D/S fic with extremely rigorous and well-defined dom and sub roles that aren't at all organic or natural, and that aren't ever talked about, and that don't reflect the personalities of the characters, and that are mostly written like the characters are just acting by rote

Anything in the Transformers MTMTE/LL fandom that paints Getaway as a sympathetic woobie who was misunderstood and "abused by the crew" and chooses to ignore his canon motivations and actions. I've seen only a small handful and I back out of them fast once I realize it's going that way, but as someone who has observed the EXACT SAME BEHAVIOR he had exhibited, but with an ex-friend who I cut off contact from for her bad behavior, I cannot excuse that kind of thing.

When characters who never cry or rarely cry in canon are sobbing all over the place in fics. Especially the ones that I just can't see as sobbing uncontrollably. It's jarring.

I'm so annoyed A/B/O has gotten so popular in several Asian countries. Now I don't just have to filter out fic but doujinshi, manga and both BL and danmei novels as well because it keeps popping up in those with increasing numbers as well...

A/B/O and high school or college AU's. Most AU's really, if they're nonsensical AU's.
