Sure. But the reason that it's inappropriate is because there's a social norm against it.

You don't need to go in-depth about how everyone can see her genitalia and this makes her a bad person, and you certainly don't need a million posts calling her a prostitute, to make that point. That's the part that's weird.

That norm goes for men too, you know. It wouldn't be appropriate for them to show off their thong either.
