D: Yeah, almost everyone I know IRL who like YGO are all about collecting the cards and dueling and shit. And I'm like, "NO I WANT TO TALK ABOUT YUGI AND YAMI'S GAY RELATIONSHIP!!1"
So it makes me a sad panda.
I watched the dub religiously as well. :D

Haha, I used to love playing the game, but yeah that seems like someone that would be more common in RL. The characters are where it's at though! Where would have the fun be in the game if you couldn't pretend to make cheesy shonen drama?

I don't play the TCG, but I just love the exaggerated, dramatic way they duel. I guess that qualifies as liking it for the cards.
