103. I KNOW!! I started watching it and I always loved it. And then all of a sudden this shit exploded all over the internet. First it was Wincest, then their real life, then what happens when fans get in proximity to the actors... I mean, they are characters on a TV show. Portrayed by actors who get paid to do this. Please to not be scaring them. :S
104. Dexter!! He can do the voice? Super cool!
107. While I didn’t particularly liked the Iron Man movie and did like the Batman one, I don’t think liking one over the other makes you any of said negative things, and anyone who says so is a snob, and not in a good way. Batman has more followers, yes, and the Iron Man movie did not stick as closely to the comics as all of us would’ve liked, but the acting was good. And it’s up to everyone what they do and do not like.
122. I found the movie rather humorous, considering what actually happens in the book, but I can see how one afraid or uncomfortable with clowns would hate it. That is one freaky fucking clown!! And also, there is something about Stepehen King. He takes everything you may not think is scary and, so very elusively and inconspicuously, makes it terrifying to the very soul.
137. O_o Can’t understand that, sorry. Can’t even begin to. He does a flawless British accent, if that’s what’s going for you. And he didn’t become any less of a person or an actor than he was when you found out a fact not previously known to you, but always true, did he?
146. Deal with things however you need to. Just don’t take a knife and slice people’s lips open, and you’ll be fine. Different people deal in different ways. And Joker may be a psychopath, but he had a whole lot of points (both in all comics and movie versions) that made a hell of a lot of sense to me.

167. Yep. Heath’s portrayal has inspired a lot of this kind of thing. And I’m not questioning it at all. :P What wouldn’t I let him do to me?
170. I’m not in the fandom, but I used to watch it a lot when I was younger. And I always had a feeling a lot of things that happened and themes were definitely for adults and not kids. So don’t feel ashamed. I don’t think it’s a strictly kiddy show at all. And even if it is, we all have our little secrets like this, don’t we?
173. I agree, but I did like it. And, I mean, I read pretty much all Batman comics ever written. I can definitely accept criticism of the movie, and a lot of the intelligent one is correct, for both sides. I wouldn’t be too fast to jump to conclusions that the only reason people liked it was because of the hype. I mean, Harry Potter movies get more hype than any other, and still a lot of fan don’t like them (AND HOW). I can see a whole lot of good things about it too, from a purely technical point of view. In the very least, it’s pretty close to how Frank Miller wrote it. All the plot-holes that stem from direct adaptation can’t be blamed on the movie. Though, I will say I had a few major problems with the movie I consider a big deal. Still liked it though.
175. My university feels and looks like Hogwarts (as it’s based off the British school system, too). I picked it because it was right in all senses for me, but I can’t say it wasn’t an influence at all. Because it totally was. Felt right.

This made me smirk because while I don't know Iron Man comics; I do know Batman comics and was distracted by various and sundry deviations and what they did with some of the comic characters.
Iron Man was a better movie for me, because it didn't put any women in a refrigerator, give my favourite character's lines to her brother, or turn another of my favourite characters into a mob informant.

I read both comics. Religiously. I could see there were deviations, but for me, the Iron Man's were so huge I couldn't ignore it. I love him as a character, and they kind of ruined him for me a little bit. However, I did still like the movie, and the actor. It was more of a fun movie for me, kind of like a trash novel, than anything else. With Batman, I didn't see as many deviations from Frank Miller's version, at least, which it was based off of.
Once again, though, I think everyone should like what they like. I know lots of people who like either movie without having read the comics, and with having read all of them. I don't see the reason why, as the OP pointed out, people would crawl up people's asses about their own personal tastes.
