Anyone else been following the story about the Thai boys in the cave? I've been following it since the start, it's just so terrifying, every morning I check the headlines expecting to hear the worst. But four of the kids are OUT! Hopefully the rest will follow soon, and the weather holds out. I really want this story to have a happy ending, it was bad enough to hear that a Navy SEAL diver died during the rescue mission.

I have been. Four are out? YAY! I was so freaked they'd have to actually leave them to *live in there* for like four months. Horrifying!

How did the Navy SEAL diver die? D:

They had to do a lot of set up before they actually got the boys out, such as lining the path with oxygen tanks (it takes about five hours to get to where the boys are trapped and the exit, in pitch black water). The Navy SEAL I believe was setting up oxygen tanks, and lost consciousness/suffocated. It's an extremely tough dive. When they announced that first death, the optimism of finding the boys and "oh great everything will be okay!" relief that spread around the world definitely dampened because people realized what a horrible death trap this is and getting the kids out alive is a huge gamble.
