But which would the media post about and link? And they definitely view leaving it up as someone standing behind it and invalidating the apology. There is no good way to handle it but the best course of action is usually if they delete it and then issue a formal apology as well as post a less formal one on their social media and link the formal one that spells out why they were wrong and that they don't really think the way their post demonstrated. It can mean the differthe nice between ending career or leaving room for a comeback in a few years.
