Romantic subplots or scenes for no reason. Looking at you Captain America Civil War.

Thiiiiiiiis. Has anyone told Hollywood that it's okay to have a movie where two people don't fall in love?

Ensemble films where no main characters get enough actual screentime or depth because they're too busy focusing on dozens & dozens of cameos, which isn't a format that ever works for a 2-hour film.

Fantasy everything

Remakes of everything

Think this was mentioned a few days ago (or else I said it), but people who can't sing being put in singing roles

Those who are generally not voice actors being cast in starring voice roles (I'm not suggesting they can't jump in every now and then, but I want to hear lesser known VAs in the bigger animated films. Just a personal preference, though)

Love triangles. Heroines ending up with hot, douchey guys where we're supposed to think it's okay because they're hot and maybe nice to her sometimes.

movies that are remakes or ripoffs of other movies, or based on video games, superheroes (that whole genre needs to be parodied, and not by those Selz-Frei hacks!) or old TV shows

Perpetual relationship or developmental wangst, usually when it's obvious a character will repeatedly do the wrong thing just for the sake of setting up the next drama.

Recent example: Marcella
Non-example: Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Rec.
