This is weirdly cute to me??

Oh good, it wasn't just me! XD

lol

hangovers are good, though

Your hangover experiences must be VERY different than mine

It's not pleasant in itself but the hangover and the progression from hangover to normality is an intrinsic and necessary part of a drunk

There is nothing better on Earth than the hangover brunch, and I will stand by that. Nothing will ever taste as good as a bacony-cheesy salt bomb when you're hungover. (Obviously not so hungover that you can't even get out of bed!)

James Harriot! Awesome.
And yes - his hangover descriptions were pretty awful!

Aw, James Herriott! What horrifies me now is that iirc he drove and practiced his job while hungover. :/

though he obviously did pretty well at it.

Hungover isn't the same as intoxicated. People drive and go to work with colds and flu, which is far more dangerous for everyone involved than working through some dehydration and nausea.

LOL! His descriptions were glorious though. He made me want to try relish. I liked it.

What turned me off trying alcohol was my mom telling me how she went to check on my cousin over at his house (friends over for a house party while his parents were out) and found him blacked out from alcohol poisoning.

That made me pretty much uninterested in giving it a go even when I had friends around me drinking.
