Buffy's opening theme music: The full length is just OK, but it works very well cut down to opening-credits length where it can get right to the power drums.

The TV version of M*A*S*H had a pretty good instrumental of "Suicide Is Painless" over a scene of personnel responding to an incoming chopper. Note that "Suicide Is Painless" was written to be an intentionally stupid song, but here its instrumental version accompanies a scene that tells us who these people are and why they're important.

Most episodes of Noir have a spoken bit after the titles. It varies a little, but is often like this:
Noir
It is the name of an ancient fate, two maidens who govern death.
The peace of the newly born their black hands protect.
