My theory on that is because Mad Men is not inherently shippable -- the couples are already pretty established and there's a distinctive lack of UST.

Blah, that's why I hate that people think that fandom has to be all about shipping.

Well, for UST there is Pete and Peggy, but I can't really get behind that even though it happened.

I totally agree with you -- I hate that fandom is always about shipping. No-one can convince me otherwise.

Pete and Peggy are a guilty pleasure, but if they really got together it would be the height of dysfunction . . . not that the rest of the couples are healthy ;)

I agree. Woe. Did it not rule, though, that out of everyone, Sal was the most interested in Jackie Kennedy's televised tour of the White House, and the decor, etc? *snicker* Love him!

Poor Sal. I wish he could just be happy and gay, but this is the 1960s. XP I definitely hope he gets more character development this season. The scene with him and the other man in the restaurant in season one was one of the favorites.
