I liked it better than regular OUAT too, but it was on a bad night for me and I was always playing catch up.

Maybe it wouldn't have gotten all wack because there wasn't any CaptainSwan?

I wanted to like it, but I'm sorry OP, it was bad. Super bad. I was still a big fan of OUaT at the time it came out and was a huge supporter of the spinoff but it was so terrible. And they ended up fucking over some of the characters anyway later on in the parent show. (Or so I'd heard. I'd ragequit by then.)

When did you ragequit? Because the first five episodes or so were awful, but the show improved dramatically after that. It was sort of the exact opposite of the main show, which started strong and went into a death spiral midway through season two that it never pulled itself out of.

I didn't ragequit the spinoff. I watched the whole thing, the whole thing was bad. I quit the parent show at the end of S3 when they killed off Neal for love triangle bullshit.

I liked it better too, on account of:

1) Alice/Cyrus being very cute, but Alice/Will being the central (platonic) relationship.

2) It having a beginning, middle and end.

3) Anastasia's redemption arc being SO MUCH BETTER than Regina's on account of her NOT murdering people and expecting people to feel sorry for her afterwards.

Eh, I think it's worse than OUAT's first season (which I still think wasn't bad at all), but better than most of what came after. My main issue with it is that I have probably never been as disinterested in a show's main relationship as I was in Alice/Cyrus. I didn't even dislike it. I just... really, really couldn't care less one way or another.

(And I dislike most of OUAT's endgame ships/especially hate Rumbelle with a fiery passion, but even those were more entertaining to watch.)
