What is something you were excited for only to end up disappointed? :(

The Red Sparrow movie. That was an abominable treatment of an excellent book.

Wow, that one really came and went, didn't it? It started Jennifer Lawrence too as I recall.

The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus. I liked it until Jude Law (as Heath Ledger's character) was introduced. The last 50 minutes of the film disappointed me.

yeah, that was awkward. I also wasn't crazy about the "most of what you've been watching was happening in some crazy homeless man's head" thing at the end, either.

Sea of Thieves. I just wish it had more to do.

The Revenent. WHAT A BORING MOVIE. :

Oops, meant this to be a reply to kaijinscendre's post below.

It would be nice if I had been disappointed by nothing, lol!

oh god, me too. I thought it would be this incredibly intellectually stimulating experience but it was just high school with worse drunks.

I had some very awful experiences with teachers.

I had a few of those but far more with students. Ever see Carrie or Welcome to the Dollhouse? well, I can't blow shit up with my mind and my sister didn't get kidnapped and my mom isn't that crazy, but....

I had one teacher send me sexually-charged emails and I had another who hated me so much that she failed me in all of my assignments and I had to plead my case in front of the school board to have my GPA re-instated.

thank fuck I didn't have any teachers who sexually harrassed me (there were some very fucked up comments from some students though) but I also had a bitch teacher who hated me and kept failing me even though I didn't deserve it and pulling a lot of bait and switch crap on me and other shit too. I finally got so fed up I dropped out. There was a lot of other fucked up stuff going on I haven't mentioned yet but that would take too long.

mercifully I haven't had to deal w/any of those people in years and I hope I never see any of them again (the bitch teacher was pretty old then so she's probably dead now)

My third internship, at an immigration firm. I was excited to see what a for-profit firm did with immigration. But they didn't have me doing anything remotely interesting. Mostly they used me to file papers. And there were also some things in that office that made me uncomfortable. Not my best law school experience.
