What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am going tile and paint shopping because we are redoing our kitchen. Probably won't by anything yet but want to get a handle on styles and colors. Other than that, a ton of cleaning. I just took apart the bathroom sink to clean the pipes. *gag*

The stuff coming out was black. BLACK!

Blech.

I think kitchen sink pipes don't get quite as gross because they regularly get more of a volume of (soapy) water than bathroom sinks do.

Stay shut in with plugs firmly jammed into ears as to avoid fireworks, screams, shouts and car horns. Fuck Bastille Day AND the World Cup.

That sucks. :( Aren't there also a bunch of anti-Trump protests?

I'm going to the movies with a friend tonight, otherwise nothing.

it's the second Friday of the month so it's MST3K night at my local cool movie theater that serves food and beer. :)

Taking my sister out practice driving tomorrow.

Ten hour car journey with my taciturn brother on Sunday.

Haha, he's one I want to talk to, but he's not much of a conversationalist *g* the podcasts were mainly for my return journey alone, but I might get some still and maybe we'll have something to talk about.

Hopefully visiting my nephews, brother, sister-in-law, and their 2 adorable kittens in Connecticut. It's a long drive from here and will be a hot day but I need to get away and need to thank my S-I-L for listening to my problems and believing in me.

Being the only one in our house who has the guts to clear out the shower drain when it gets blocked, I feel your pain. So much gunk. And hair. And more gunk.

The water was black coming out. D::::::: Not too much hair shockingly.

Eeuugh. I have a pretty strong stomach but drains/sink plugs/food debris are my downfall. I emptied the washing machine filter yesterday because our laundry was starting to smell off and oh my god, I wanted to die. The smell was unreal.

Laundry sucks. I don't mind washing/drying but I hate sorting and folding it.

I've got a meeting that's definitely going to go badly this afternoon, and tomorrow we're having an old friend of my dad's over for dinner and I still need to decide what I'm making for dessert.

Also, I keep meaning to say this - I love that you ask this every week, and that you reply to every reply you get. It makes the question meaningful, not just a friendly nothing. Thank you.

Prolly doing our going out tomorrow when Matt will be on day schedule and I'll have gotten MORE than enough sleep today, eheheh ^.^;;;. (Sleepy and bored at everything depression is the worst honestly)

I need to get more shampoo and just have some time out to restoke the fires in my brain. And I also wanna try to get some pages out for one of my things I've been working on, Delinquent U.

Then Sunday is work.

Is there such a thing as too much sleep? Seems like a myth but I am always working on no sleep. Depression is the worst. Especially when you lose interest in your hobbies. :(

Lets see. Today, we went out to dinner with a family friend and then saw a really nice concert that was part of a local classical series. I was really impressed. Some of the pieces were really unique, and the players were good.

Tomorrow, plans have changed. We were originally going to go out to dinner for my birthday. But I've developed a migraine. And the two things I wanted for my birthday dinner were fish and alcohol, both of which don't mix well with migraines for me. Even if I'm feeling better tomorrow, it is better not to risk relapse. So birthday dinner has been moved to Wednesday.

Hopefully, if I'm feeling better, my mom and I will go to the last concert of the series, which features a piece by a young Spanish/Mexican composer that I'm really excited for.

Other than that, my plans involve lots of sleep, if I can get it. I've had a lot of bad nights this week, and I'm really behind. If I watch anything, it will be Doctor Who.

I hope you are feeling better to go to the concert. What day is it on?
