the so called fandom moms are just groomers/predators under a different name. However they're far and few between and have now caused shitheel antis to call anyone over 25 enjoying their own spaces decrepit and need to go back to raising children. So it goes both ways.

Um I was seeing anti adult sentiment long before anti creepy "fandom moms".

A few years ago I recall instances of teens declaring that the internet is for children/teens and adults are invading it. And antis have been those creepy fandom mom types while decrying other adult fandom members as "gross" and "creepy.

I'm not saying it doesn't?? Antis are weirdos who think anyone over the age of 25 needs to go pop out babies and do mom things because ew gross adults even though adults pretty much owned fandom spaces for the most part. antis are just the next level of evolution of misogyny using "fandom moms" as an excuse to be asshats and misogynists towards "old" women having hobbies that doesn't involve barefoot and pregnant

having hobbies that doesn't involve barefoot and pregnant

really?

(Anonymous) 2018-07-15 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, seriously, they expect any adult woman online to be looking after them (like their moms) by posting only content that is "suitable". They tell adult women to go back to knitting and taxes. And if your content is PG or under and the "right" ships you're a pedo grooming them, and if you're not, you're a pedo creeper. Remember the whole Sherlock thing where if the wrong character topped you were a pedo?

"knitting and taxes" seems like a major difference from "barefoot and pregnant"

(Anonymous) 2018-07-15 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
It's really not. If you can't see it's in the same spirit I don't know what to tell you.

(Anonymous) 2018-07-15 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
considering their default attitude to finding out a women is over 25 on the internet is "don't you have children to be raising/watching?" yes fucking really. antis are that backwards and puritanical

Hahaha I'd LOVE for them to ask me that.

"Nope not only am I probably unlikely to be able to carry a child to term I am in NO position to be having kids financially and emotionally. I go to work and have a hobby in my spare time. Die mad about it!"
