The Thing in the Thing prequel/reboot.

Also, the Alien in Alien: Covenant.

I actually wanted Tom Hardy's character to survive in the Revenant because literally every character in that movie was more interesting than DiCaprio's.

I agree with you in a sane, wholesome way on The Thing. Very much so.

And in a rabid unhealthy kinky fan way on Alien: Covenant. I do know how twisted this is, but I just can't help it.

I think after a while, you just start rooting for the alien in the Alien movies, period. The humans in those movies are either so arrogant or so stupid (or both) that you lose a lot of sympathy for them quickly (though sometimes the main hero is still okay).
