I've got nothing helpful to say except that I temporarily forgot that DragonCon is held over Labor Day weekend and not in March but I read "DC" as DragonCon (instead of, I assume, Washington DC. Going for the cherry blossoms?) and when you said it was scenic I was like, "ew...with thousands of people crammed in around you? That is not somewhere I'd want to be proposed to..."

And then I realized that's not what you meant. ;)

but I have seen photos of people who did propose at DCon and I'm like ehhh if it's that important to you...
