Okay, but people using humour to cope with things has nothing to do with a stand-up comedian performing non-comedic things. Just... don't make jokes about those sort of things if you don't agree with it?

I'd honestly feel a little bait and switched if I went to watch a stand up and halfway through the show they started telling me everything that was depressing and wrong with the world.

The show was advertised as her departure from comedy when it was running, and a lot was written about it in Australian media, so I doubt anyone who attended felt wronged.

Also, I tend to feel that a comedian with no insight isn't worth my time. Good comedians work with difficult topics.
