Great pic choice! I'm just the opposite, I google obsessively. I rarely read fic because it seems like most of what I found is just so unsatisfying.

I google celeb crushes, but... not too much? Like, I don't mind knowing some things about them, but I don't want to be intrusive as fuck either. I believe everyone has a right to their privacy. I especially don't want to google so much that I suddenly believe I know the person when the truth is, there's a lot more to their lives than what an internet search shows, and they probably rage and cry and fart and do stupid shit like the rest of the humans. Definitely don't want to fall into the trap of idolizing anyone and assuming they can do no wrong, but if they do, they should be tarred and feathered on a life Youtube stream.

That's probably way too much thought I need to be putting into the life of a celebrity, admittedly.

Oh man, I dive DEEP on mine but like... I get very aware of how often I mention them or their works to like... people who aren't in that superfan zone?

(my biggest actor crush right now is about twice my age. Like, slightly older than my mother... and I'm watching an old show he did before I was born and like, wow. I can hardly be in the room with other people when he's cute on screen, like the level of embarrassment I feel over this crush UNDOES me)

Ugh, I know exactly what you're talking about, OP. I avoided googling my recent actor crush, but caved in at one point, and now my crush is even worse because it turns out he's this amazing person (more than twice my age, but who cares, he's about as perfect as any man can get) and now just thinking about him hurts (this is why I avoid falling for actors and only ever have crushes on characters, but I fucked up).

When I get a crush on a celebrity, I can't read anything about them (except for press about a thing they are in where I'm just interested in the thing, not the person). I don't want to deflate the fantasy or find out something disappointing. Also, I have this paranoia that if I met them, I wouldn't be able to hide the fact that I read all this stuff about them and know where they were born and so on and that would be really embarrassing.

Celebrities I'm a fan of but don't crush on, I can read lots about, since I worry less about finding out something I didn't want to know or making a fool of myself on the off-chance that I actually meet them. I can read endlessly about dead celebrities, also.
