Would you use female pronouns for a drag queen out of costume? They are not transgender afaik?

I believe they do this on Drag Race, though I do agree it shouldn't be the way it's done

Some drag queens like female pronouns when out of drag, some don't.

echoing what anons have already said: it depends a bit on the person and context. i think names also play a role -- if i'm using the drag name, i'm generally also using she/her, but if we're talking 'real' names, i'm using whatever pronouns the artist prefers.

This is honestly how it's handled? Queens like Peppermint, Gia Gunn, and a few others you would absolutely use SHE out of drag. Some queens prefer "he" out of drag. And then a few of my favorites are actually genderfluid or agender and use "they". (Off the top of my head, Aja for sure?)
