Re: Headcanons

Well, my Tumblr blog is 75% headcanons, and half of those are Sauron headcanons. I have a lot of Tolkien thoughts.

Since one definition of Sauron's original name, Mairon, is the precious (the other one is the admirable), I headcanon pretty hard that Melkor used to call him precious and that's where the whole people calling the Ring precious comes from. That's probably my favorite headcanon and my biggest contribution to my ship.

I have a lot of thoughts about Sauron in Eregion and about him actually enjoying his time, in spite of it all being an act. Being able to just be in the forge and being around other skilled craftsmen. I think it had to be a period that was genuinely pleasurable for him, and not just in the evil sense.
